Job Summary
Primary Responsibilities
Facilitate dynamic, scenario-based training simulations to reinforce decision-making, teamwork, and safety protocols.
Assist in developing and updating course materials, lesson plans, and instructional guides to comply with CLEST standards.
Stay current with changes in Arkansas law enforcement practices, procedures, and state regulations to ensure curriculum relevance.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, test scores, and performance evaluations.
Ensure training documentation and activities comply with the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST) regulations.
Participate in audits or accreditation activities, as needed.
Enforce safety protocols during physical and field training, including firearms qualification, physical conditioning, and high-risk scenario exercises.
Serve as a subject matter resource for specialized law enforcement skills or topics, such as crisis intervention or de-escalation.
Knowledge and Skills
Capacity to convey complex information clearly and concisely to learners at varying levels of experience.

Flexible and resourceful in addressing learner needs and adapting lesson plans or instruction methods as situations evolve.

Minimum Qualifications
At least three years of experience in law enforcement.
Licensure/Certifications: .
Must be a certified law enforcement officer in the State of Arkansas.
CLEST General Instructor certification required.
