General Summary

 

In accordance with the established policies and procedures of the East Lansing Public School District, the Lunch Monitor is responsible for supervising and assisting students with needs during lunch.

 

About the Role


  1. Completes lunch room set-up.
  2. Distributes lunch cards.
  3. Monitors student check-in tables.
  4. Sells milk and snacks.
  5. Supervises and assists students with their needs during lunch.
  6. Assists food servers.
  7. Monitors lunch time recess.
  8. Completes clean-up of the lunch room.

 

Education, Knowledge and Skills Required

 

  1. May occasionally be asked to lift up to 40 pounds.
  2. Maintains a clean, neat appearance and practices personal hygiene to meet county health department regulations.
  3. Ability to work from oral and written direction.
  4. Ability to learn and follow federal, state and local government regulations (OSHA, MIOSHA, USDA, MDE, etc.).
