Compensation Range:
$90.00-$110.00 per hour (depending on licensure, level, and location)
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is primarily responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, medication consultation and collaboration with community prescribers. NP ensures PHP admissions are medically necessary and clinically appropriate. The NP will provide pharmacological treatment, if indicated, and request and review any needed lab work.
Within the organization: Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with staff, clients, families, facility, and peers throughout the organization.
Outside the organization: Initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with clinical providers, referral partners and vendors, as needed
Essential Responsibilities
- Conducts all Psychiatric Evaluations and ensures medical necessity for all individuals enrolled in the PHP.
- Provides medication management services for individuals enrolled in PHP as needed. Available on-site at least weekly and by telephone in unusual or urgent situations related to medication.
- Provides consultation, education and related information to patients and the families, if involved, to increase success of treatment and program engagement.
- Directs and collaborates with staff on clinical activities and interventions.
- Provides consultation to community referrals as needed to ensure successful disposition of former patients.
- Completes medical record and other documentation in a timely and accurate manner as needed to meet clinical, payer and other requirements.
- Participates in marketing and outreach events on occasion.
- Perform other activities as requested by the Director and assume other appropriate medical responsibilities as necessary
