Primary Objective: Spectrio is seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer to join our SPE team. In this role, you will be a lead contributor to our cloud-native Digital Signage platform, focusing on the core software that powers media management, device communication, and global content delivery. You will work within an Agile environment on 2-week sprints, collaborating across front-end, device, and DevOps teams to build a scalable, high-availability system.
Primary Objective:
The Front-End Software Engineer is passionate about delivering high quality user experiences by building elegant and robust software. You’ll be a key contributor on Spectrio’s cloud-native digital signage and kiosk products collaborating with the back-end, device, and DevOps teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop responsive, high-performance, web applications using Angular 20 and TypeScript.
- Build reusable UI components utilizing Angular Material.
- Manage state using NgRx and event handling with RxJS.
- Implement UI and E2E automation tests using Playwright to prevent regressions.
- Adhere to secure development best practices to prevent vulnerabilities.
- Partner with UI/UX designers and QA testers to deliver high quality software.
- Collaborate with software engineers to promote team and individual growth through design meetings, code reviews, constructive feedback, and technical documentation.
Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Angular development including modern features
- Expertise in TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and Node.js
- Strong command of SCSS, Flexbox, and Angular Material
- Proficient with NgRx, RxJS, Docker, Playwright, REST, MongoDB, and GitHub Actions
- Familiar with Yarn, REST, PostgreSQL
- Experience with AWS including EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, & CloudFront
- Experience with Figma, QA, and DevOps is a plus
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience with 3+ years focused on Angular applications
- Expert problem solver capable of handling complex technical challenges
- Proven track record of building and deploying responsive web applications in an AWS environment
- Comfortable working in a fast paced Agile environment using Jira
- Effective collaborator capable of partnering with the back-end, device, DevOps, UI/UX, and other internal teams
- Familiarity with digital signage and kiosk platforms is a plus
