Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated technician to help develop protein and enzyme recovery processes in a dynamic and international pilot-plant environment.

You will join a department of approximately 45 technicians, laboratory assistants, and scientists working at pilot scale (0.2–2500 L) with process development and scale-up for Novonesis production sites around the world.

You will become an important part of a team of 14 technicians working on downstream process development at pilot scale. We value an informal tone, a constructive mindset, and strong collaboration. The Role & Your Impact
As a Technician in Recovery Pilot Plant Operations, you play a key role in turning scientific ideas into robust recovery processes.
Through safe and well-documented execution of downstream pilot runs, you help generate high-quality data that supports scale-up and implementation across Novonesis’ global production sites.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • Education as a Procesteknolog, Levnedsmiddeltekniker, or similar relevant experience (MSc degree is not eligible for this job type)

  • Interest in and understanding of process development and downstream unit operations, preferably within recovery of enzymes or other biomolecules

  • Strong quality mindset and understanding of the importance of documenting all experimental work

  • Fluency in Danish (reading, writing, and speaking) and ability to communicate in English

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn and use IT systems

Ways of Working / Working Conditions

  • Shift work in a 4-week cycle: 3 weeks of day shifts, 1 week of evening shifts, and one weekend of daytime work

  • On-site position with no possibility of remote work; flexibility is required to ensure daily operations

  • Physical work including weekly lifting of equipment and up to 15 kg jerricans with product

  • Factory setting where noise may occur when equipment is running

  • Planned shutdowns: 3-week summer shutdown and closure around Christmas and New Year
