About the Department

The City of Aiken is accepting applications for Lifeguards in our Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department. These temporary, part-time positions will be responsible for lifeguarding, and assisting with swim lessons at the City's pool. This position requires being available seven days a week. Work dates include May 4 - September 6.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have or be able to obtain a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and must be CPR/First Aid/AED certified (provide copies of current cards with application). Training and certification may be available at no cost to eligible applicants. Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

Other Qualifications

This position is subject to a criminal background check for any convictions directly related to its duties and responsibilities.
