Job Description

Description

  • The Swim Team Assistant Coach assists in the development of daily practice sessions including dry-land training, stretching, and swim training for all skill levels.
  • Available to Gator Swim Team members and parents to answer questions concerning the program.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • 2 years of directly related experience
  • American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification - Training available at the YMCA
  • Within 1 month of hire:
    • Foundations of Coaching 101
    • Concussion Education Certificate
    • Athlete Protection Training
    • Safety Training for Swim Coaches Certification
  • Within 6 months of hire:
    • lifeguarding certificiation

Summary

Shifts Needed:

15 - 20 hours per week for practices and weekends. 

Summer- Mostly afternoons and evenings with some mornings. Weekend meets as well

Winter- Afternoon and Evenings. Weekend meets as well
