- Minimum of three years of related accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

- Maintains Chart of Accounts based on Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR) and District updates.
- Imports, updates, verifies, and balances adopted and revised budgets into the School ERP Pro software.
- Creates and maintains budget control groups for school/district use.
- Maintains financial records for State and Federal grant programs and assists Grant Administrator with the preparation of financial reports.
- Requests reimbursements through Grants Management Enterprise (GME) for Federal and State grants.
- Completes the financial portion of completion reports to close out Federal and State grants.
- Compiles and prepares quarterly Medicaid Reimbursement reports.
- Reviews employee personnel action requests (EPARs) for appropriate and compliant coding.
- Completes journal entries to ensure expenditures are aligned to USFR coding and allowable under various funding sources.
- Monitors and corrects negative expenditures and liabilities.
- Monitors Desegregation and MOWR budgets and ensure alignment of accounting records to budgets.
- Maintains accuracy in budgets and expenditures for audit purposes.
- Provides technical expertise and direction to staff, school personnel, and administration regarding accounting issues and related financial activities for the purpose of conveying pertinent information regarding the organizations financial operations and ensuring compliance with established policies, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Recommends policies, procedures, and/or actions on issues that relate to accounting functions for the purpose of providing direction and/or decision making.
- Develops new accounting procedures for implementation for the purpose of providing internal financial controls throughout the organization and ensuring compliance with established accounting practices and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversees position control
- Prepares deposits for District clearing account and deposits with County Treasurer
- Performs reconciliation of budget and expense reports; reconciles cash to the County Treasurer
- Reconciles District checking accounts
- Prepares monthly Governing Board reports and year-end reports
- Records and reports District extracurricular activity fees revenue and expense to school principals and Department of Revenue
- Monitors all E-Rate revenue, expenses, and reimbursements
- Prepares billings for accounts receivable
- Oversees Districts Fixed Assets

Assistant Director of Finance
JOB GOAL
The Assistant Director of Finance will process, record, update, and reconcile fiscal information in compliance with established policies and the Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR). This position will provide recommendations and/or accounting support to other personnel, and analyze expenditures against the adopted budget. In addition, this position will reconcile bank accounts against district records.
