Job Description

Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations and 
ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a growing Home Health 
organization. This role requires a detail-oriented finance professional with at least 3 years 
of progressive accounting experience, preferably within healthcare or home health. The 
Senior Accountant will support month-end close, reimbursement analysis, revenue 
recognition, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Manage general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Analyze revenue cycles, including Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care 
reimbursements
• Assist with cost reporting and regulatory filings specific to Home Health
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist with annual audits
• Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements
• Support multi-entity or multi-location financial reporting (if applicable)
• Perform quarterly reconciliation of form 941 to our payroll journal entries to ensure 
accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze ad hoc reports for senior management to support strategic 
planning and informed decision-making.

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
• Experience in Home Health or healthcare accounting
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement models
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Experience with healthcare accounting systems or ERP platforms
