Job Description
Position Summary:

The Senior Acquisition Program Engineer – Electronic Warfare (EW) supports Air Force acquisition programs by providing expert guidance on EW system requirements, design reviews, integration, testing, and performance assessments. This role helps the program office evaluate contractor designs, manage risks, and ensure EW technologies—such as RF/EO/IR systems, jammers, and self‑protection equipment—meet mission needs. The engineer also assists with technical documentation, participates in team and stakeholder meetings, supports test planning and analysis, and contributes to cybersecurity compliance efforts, including activities required to obtain and maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO). Ideal candidates bring strong systems engineering experience, a background in EW technologies, and familiarity with DoD acquisition and cybersecurity processes.

Responsibilities:

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Provide specialized engineering support for Electronic Warfare systems—including RF, EO/IR, self‑protection, jamming, decoy, and threat‑emitter system integration.
  • Evaluate EW subsystem performance, threat interactions, countermeasure effectiveness, and integration with other aircraft/weapon system components.
  • Support laboratory, hardware‑in‑the‑loop, ground, and flight test activities for EW systems, including test plan development, execution, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Assist in reviewing EW‑related models, simulations, algorithms, and performance predictions.
  • Coordinate with test organizations to align test objectives, data requirements, instrumentation needs, and safety considerations.
  • Develop recommendations to improve EW system design, survivability, threat response, and mission effectiveness.
  • Support RMF and cybersecurity activities affecting EW subsystems, mission equipment, and networked components.
  • Contribute to documentation, testing, assessment, remediation, and validation tasks required for Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals.
