Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ERP Programmer Analyst to join our dynamic IT team in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming, systems analysis, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes. This role requires the ability to design, develop, and implement software solutions that enhance the efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing operations. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office, based at our Temple, TX facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Software Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems to support manufacturing operations. This includes writing and debugging code, integrating software components, and ensuring applications meet performance and security standards.
- Systems Analysis: Analyze existing systems and processes within the manufacturing environment to identify opportunities for improvement. Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This includes planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities and resources.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for software applications used in manufacturing. This includes diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues and providing guidance to junior team members.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement. Propose and implement process enhancements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of recommended changes.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all software applications, systems, and processes. This includes user manuals, technical specifications, and project documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in software development and systems analysis, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, production planning, and distribution.
- Experience with ERP platform (Syspro, SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics, etc).
- Proficient in data analysis tools, and business intelligence platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proven experience in leading and managing projects from inception to completion.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL).
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems.
- Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex systems and processes and develop effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Project Management: Proven experience in leading and managing software development projects. Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
