Job Description

About the Department

This position is accountable for supporting the staff by performing a wide range of basic clerical/office tasks for the Office of Public Safety.

Position Duties


  • Provides assistance with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, scanning, and typing documents
  • Create spreadsheets, Word documents, and assist with database management
  • Performs background checks of former students to ascertain if there was any prior contact(s) with the Dept. of Public Safety
  • Assist with the management of the parking permit program and processing citation fines
  • Assists with the scheduling of student staff and backfilling call-offs;
  • Greets visitors and guests to the office;
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY

Must be Federal Work Study Eligible

Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • May require basic proficiency in any of the following programs: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Telephone skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Requires strict confidentiality reference exposure to sensitive information

Description of Hours:   
Scheduled up to 10 hours a week any time between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
