Essential Functions:


  • Dependability
    • Reports all monies collected from passenger fees &/or donations at the end of each month to General Accounting.
    • Accurately prepares & submits monthly charges.
    • Maintain knowledge of first-aid procedures and current BLS certification.
    • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using a cell phone as soon as safety possible.

  • Stress Tolerance
    • Follow safety rules for all passengers and document any non-compliance.
    • Maintain and check schedule daily for community and Intelli Ride clients.
    • Ensure all vehicles have adequate fuel and are operational at all times.  Ensure vehicle maintenance is completed timely.
    • Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
    • Complete Pre-Trip Inspection: Daily Vehicle Condition Report and submit daily.
    • Maintain driving logs daily and submit daily.
    • Immediately report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs.
    • Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, or fares received.
    • Keep vehicles interior and exterior clean.
    • Ensure current registration and insurance cards are up to date in all vehicles.

  • Concern for Others
    • Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort.
    • Pick up and drop off passengers at regularly scheduled neighborhood locations, following strict time schedules.
    • Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.

    • Maintain order among passengers during trips to ensure safety.

  • Compliance
    • Promotes and adheres to the provisions of the compliance program.
    • Communicated the mission, ethics and goals of the facility.
    • Complies with all organizational polices regarding ethical business practices.
    • Promotes and adheres to the TVHS core values and Standards of Behavior.

Requirements

Education and Experience:


  • High School/G.E.D.

Regulatory Requirements:


  • Must have a valid Driver’s License in the State of Nebraska with less than three moving violations & no alcohol or drug-related violations.
  • Must be insurable with TVHS’ vehicle insurance company.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) within three (3) months of hire date.

Non-Exempt, Part-time position

 

General Summary:

Provide safe, timely, and efficient transportation service to the general public of Furnas & Red Willow County. Ensure adherence to safety rules.  Ability to work a flexible schedule.
