As a Security Officer Armed Response Driver in Burgaw, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This is an armed and driving post for professionals who bring integrity, reliability, agility, and teamwork to every shift.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public sector personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Serve in an armed post in accordance with company policy and site requirements, maintaining professional bearing and handling assigned equipment responsibly during routine duties and incident response.
  • Monitor entrances, movement within restricted areas, and key operational points to help to support order, follow post instructions, and report maintenance, life, and/or security-related issues promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
