Position Description:

Delta Dental of Michigan is seeking a Corporate Fitness Intern to support the delivery of onsite fitness services as our organization continues to grow. This internship focuses specifically on hands‑on fitness support within our onsite gym, including employee training, exercise supervision, and fitness programming.

The intern will work closely with the Senior Wellness Program Advisor to create, manage, and deliver fitness programming, while providing direct support to employees through safe instruction, coaching, and gym oversight. Broader wellness strategy and initiatives are led by the Wellness Team; this role contributes to those efforts by ensuring the fitness component is executed effectively and professionally on site.

This position provides an opportunity to explore a career path in corporate fitness and gain practical experience working directly with employees in a corporate gym environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with mobile application used for fitness and wellness programs

  • Tracking employee’s goals and fitness over time

  • Coaching employees on their form during exercise

  • Assist with planning and supervising fitness activities

  • Assist with fitness and wellness challenges

Minimum Requirements:

Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Kinesiology or a related field. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Personal Training certification, preferred. CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, preferred.
