Knape & Vogt is looking for a Product Engineering Intern to join our team **starting in the Summer semester right here in Grand Rapids!**

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company has been based in Grand Rapids for over 125 years. We are a global leader specializing in the design, manufacture and distribution of functional hardware, office and healthcare ergonomics and storage-related components for original equipment manufacturers, specialty distributors, hardware chains and major home centers.

What You Will Get to Do:

  • Assist product engineers with the design, development, and improvement of existing and new products
  • Support the creation and maintenance of engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Participate in product testing and validation activities and help document results
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to support product launches and ongoing improvements
  • Help analyze product performance data and identify opportunities for design or process enhancements
  • Assist with troubleshooting product issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Support engineering change processes and documentation updates
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team

What You Will Bring:

  • Work Experience: Entry level
  • Education: Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. Two (2) years of completed college/university study with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD or similar software
  • Organization Skills: Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
