• Oversee and manage clinical care and emergency responses

• Provide supervision during a specific shift to all Nursing Staff to assure quality of care 
• Monitor productivity throughout the year and participate in annual budget preparation
• Evaluate new admissions and ensure company compliance 
• Ensure for the control of medication as per policy and procedure
• Ensure appropriate staffing and resources to support departmental needs
• Interview and participate in the selection process for qualified staff 
• Review and perform staff allocations for all nursing personnel on assigned units
• Manage performance of direct and indirect reports  
• Participate in new hire orientation, coaching, training and ongoing development
• Communicate resident clinical events or changes
• Respond to any patient, resident family concerns, issues or complaints
• Perform unit rounds at the beginning and end of shifts  
• Investigate and resolve issues and notify appropriate management as needed
• Gather necessary documentation for NYS DOH and internal investigations

• NYS RN License

• 2 or more years of Longterm care experience in a leadership role from a skilled nursing home facility is preferred
