Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance operations and repair work between two facilities on the property utilizing the company’s CMMS software. The main job duties will be to oversee and report findings between the facility’s boiler and water treatment systems. The equipment must be kept in a manner to meet the safe, and successful day to day operational activities, while maintaining a safe work practice in compliance with company policies and regulatory agencies such as OSHA. One facility on the property is a 24/7 facility and will sometimes require on call support from the technician outside of working hours.

  • Maintain the facility.  Maintain the facility in an efficient and safe manner.  Responsible for executing on the preventative maintenance program, regular maintenance and parts inventory. Ensure equipment is functional, safe and in good repair.
  • Oversight.  Daily monitoring of utilities including boilers, RO and compressors between both facilities.
  • Ensure safety, food quality, and documentation practices are adhered to.  Assure the safety of location’s work force by complying with all Federal, Provincial and Local regulations.  Participate in monthly safety meetings and perform location inspections.  Facilitate a food safety culture.
  • Operations. Maintain the facility and its equipment, manage and minimize operating expenses. Assist with development of SOPs and training materials.  Contribute to Continuous Improvement culture.
