ROLE SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading and supporting Sales Representatives and Coverage Specialists to drive regional revenue growth and territory performance. This leadership role focuses on executing sales strategies, managing team performance, and ensuring alignment with company goals and ROA targets. The Regional Sales Director works closely with sales leadership and cross-functional partners to support hiring, training, and process improvements while maintaining consistent communication and accountability across the region. This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and execute revenue goals for the region
• Conduct ride-alongs with Sales Representatives within each territory as needed or directed, potentially up to twice per month
• Maintain regular communication with Sales Representatives and Coverage Specialists
• Host scheduled morning conference calls at a pace consistent with other managers, as directed by the VP of Sales
• Provide monthly assessments with brief recaps of goals and activities for each direct report
• Conduct quarterly one-hour, in-depth reviews focused on territory progress against ROA goals and company objectives
• Lead annual planning and goal setting aligned with ROA
• Check in with Sales Representatives on an as-needed basis
• Participate in monthly sales meetings by contributing to the agenda and presenting as needed
• Help plan and execute annual sales conferences
• Attend regional and national trade shows as requested, rotating with other managers
• Hire, train, and onboard new Sales Representatives
• Prepare, train, support, and assess Coverage Specialists
• Collaborate with the Sales leadership team on sales tools, including CRM and forecasting software
• Submit Sales Representative evaluations to management as requested
• Participate in leadership team meetings as needed, including daily sales management huddles and monthly one-on-one meetings with the VP of Sales
• Work effectively with other employees, managers, and departments
• Perform all job functions in alignment with the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Goal statements
• Perform other duties as assigned
• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
• Industry-related experience and/or training preferred
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of office and business software
• Ability to quickly learn company systems, processes, and departmental structures
• Ability to work independently while effectively supervising others
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS
• Responsible for managing and supporting Sales Representatives and Coverage Specialists
• Involved in hiring, training, onboarding, performance evaluations, and ongoing team development
