Job Description

Described Duties:

1. Work cooperatively with Northwest Health Services (NHS) providers, supervisors, and personnel to carry out the goals and objectives of NHS according to governing body requirements and established internal policies and procedures.

2. Treat others respectfully whether it is a patient, fellow employee, member of management, customer, vendor or visitor to our premises.

3. Assist Controller with preparation of annual audit, cost reports, annual budgets, and other special projects.

4. Research any issues regarding general ledger accounts.

5. Prepare quarterly sales tax returns.

6. Maintain fixed asset inventory records.

7. Maintain and update variable accounts and other general ledger items.

8. Enter adjusting journal entries into accounting system.

9. Reconcile balance sheet accounts on monthly basis.

10. Prepare daily deposits and monitor bank account balance.

11. Transfer monthly grant funds and prepare quarterly FFR report.

12. Process all ACH transfers requests as needed.

13. Transfer money from clinic bank accounts as necessary.

14. Reconcile all bank accounts on monthly basis.

15. Allocate and monitor employee benefit invoices on monthly basis.

16. Monitor and reconcile 340b contract pharmacies activity and AR balance.

17. Program administrator for American Express and Commerce Purchasing cards.

18. Maintain payroll allocations and payroll files. Download from Payroll Company to import into Great Plains.

19. Complete all input and reconciliations for financial statements by 16th of each month.

20. Review and update procedure manual for Staff Accountant on annual basis.

21. Perform and assist in internal audits as requested.

22. Must comply with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.

23. Perform related work as required.
