The Direct Support Professional provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
Alison House is a single-level ranch-style home located in the Town of Hurley, tucked away in a quiet and wooded neighborhood with beautiful landscaping, perfect for summer BBQ’s and picnics. Minutes away from Uptown Kingston, there are numerous shops and restaurants to frequent. Seven people reside at Alison House and have been living in their home together for over twenty years. They enjoy attending music concerts, sporting events and weekend getaways throughout the year. A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.
HOURS: 38/Friday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm/Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm/Monday 3:00 to 11:00 pm
STARTING SALARY: $ 18.26 to $ 20.09 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable
