Job Description

Water Plant Operator 

Schedule: 1st ,2nd, 3rd

Pay Rate: $18.22 

What You’ll Do  
  • Operation & maintenance of the water treatment and distribution system to ensure adequate water supply to meet process requirements.

  • Assist with the total water plant operation and maintenance including pumps, valves, tanks, filters, strainers, compressors, softeners, reservoirs, chemical dosing equipment, coagulating and settling basins, piping and other plant facilities. 

  • Maintain and evaluate water reports, records, logs, and graphs to determine if demands for process water are met. 

  • Work safely in a fast-paced, team-structured environment

  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift throughout shift

    Requirements  
    • Valid NC driver's License
    • Ability to operate forklift. Will train for this if needed.

    • Able to work weekends, Holidays, evenings and off shift hours as needed. 

    • Ability to do physically demanding heavy work, i.e. lifting 100lbs. frequently and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. 

    • Able to work in an uncontrolled climate experiencing significant variations.
