JOB ID: 4708 - Long-Term Substitute EL Educational Assistant - Full-time, temporary position beginning 8/31/2026-12/22/2026. 

Location: Greenvale Park  

Scheduled Hours/Days: Monday-Friday, 7:45am-3:30pm  

Qualifications: Possess at least two years of college credits (60 credits) through an accredited institution, an associate's or higher degree, or a passing score on an approved assessment demonstrating the ability to assist with instruction. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of child development and behavioral management strategies, skills in building positive rapport with students and adapting instruction to individual needs, and the ability to remain calm while managing challenging behaviors. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of an English Language team and maintain confidentiality in accordance with district policies. Experience working with language learning preferred, but not required.

Pay Rate/Range: $19.79-$21.44/hour, Subject to change upon the settlement of the 2026-2028 Educational Assistants Agreement

Responsibilities: This position works under the direction of the English Language teachers to support language development for students in grades K-5. This position assists in classroom and works individually with students to support academic learning. The Educational Assistants will help with supervision of students during the beginning of the day arrival and end of the day dismissal.
