Salary Information: Minimum $2053 per credit hour 

Full Time/Part Time: Part Time 

Temporary/Permanent: Temporary 

Other Conditions: Fall 2026, Part-time, for placement in lecturer candidate pool, non-tenurial, contingent on availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. Day, evening, or Saturday offerings, on- and off-campus.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct courses in Plumbing Basics and Repair under general supervision.
  • Maintain office hours of at least one hour per week for each course taught.
  • Prepare required course outlines, syllabi, and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  • Integrate teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area under supervision of the division chairperson.
  • Collect student and peer evaluations and complete annual self-assessment of teaching effectiveness.
  • Complete instructional assignments which may involve day, evening, early morning, weekend, Early College, and/or distance education classes, program outreach activities.
  • Adhere to community college principles and philosophy.
  • Work effectively with a multicultural student and community population in accordance with the Board of Regents Policy 4.207 III.F.1 and college practice of the open-admission concept.
  • Other duties as assigned or directed.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree and 5 years related work experience OR
  • 15 college credits and 7 years related work experience including training.


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching at a Community College or equivalent technical training institute
  • Journey worker plumber experience
  • Licensed plumber
