General Information:



Title: Field Technician



Status: Full-time, Non-exempt                            



Location/Site: Corporate Office in San Antonio. Will travel to different locations during hitch based on the business needs.



Hours: 5 days-on/2 days-off hitch schedule.      



Pay: Bi-Weekly



Reports to: Sr. Operations Manager                                             



Supervisory Responsibility: None

Position Overview: 



This position is based out of the companies’ headquarters in San Antonio, TX.  However, work locations will vary from day-to-day and hitch-to-hitch, to include all branches and customer locations across Texas and the United States.  To be successful in this position, the individual must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to function effectively both as a member of a team and also as an independent agent in the delivery of service, maintenance and repairs. Work locations are remote and varied-- geographically dispersed, changing week to week, and fully exposed to all extremes of weather. Successful performance will require both physical and mental resilience and toughness. Maintenance issues that occur after-hours will be addressed in an on-call rotation basis. The Special Operations Technician will frequently drive long distances in a company truck, work with exposed wastewater (sewage), and experience double & triple shifts consecutively.  A successful Special Operations Technician must be able to accomplish these tasks without compromising the delivery of quality, safety, or customer service in any way.



 



 



Responsibilities: 




  • Rig-up and rig-down plumbing from water source to delivery location.

  • Communicate clearly & respectfully with both co-workers and customers.

  • Monitor the performance of water and waste-water purification units. 

  • Coordinate maintenance activities with System Operators, Lead Technicians, FST’s and Remote Monitoring Technicians.

  • Share experience(s) with fellow technicians and learn from Leads and System Operators.

  • Cooperate with internal and external customers to keep the work environment safe, secure, and healthy.

  • Frequently load, transport, and unload materials used on locations--install plumbing, power units, and clean & repair equipment or facilities on locations.

  • Dig holes for pots and carry plumbing & electrical materials around the worksite.

  • Perform other related duties as needed/assigned.

       Requirements: 




  • At least 1 yr of WaterFleet experience

  • High School Grad; or GED.

  • Valid driver’s license and strong driving safety record (no more than 2 moving violations in previous 3 years), CDL preferred.

  • Acceptable background check--clear of DWI and felony convictions--for at least 5-years.

  • Must be able to meet all DOT requirements.

  • Travel to work locations throughout the United States based on business needs.

  • Demonstrate respect through professional appearance, performance, and attitude.

  • Drivers of Commercial Motor Vehicles are required to be 21 years of age or older - DOT regulations.

  • Foster teamwork and collaboration within and between departments & customers.

  • Advocate for safety in all work activities.



 



Qualifications: 




  • Minimum 2-5 years of industry related experience in similar role(s). 

  • Ability to use basic hand/power tools for installation and maintenance purposes.

  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk for long periods, and to lift up to 45 lbs. 

  • High mechanical aptitude, ability to apply trouble-shooting techniques productively.

  • Ability to access computer systems to determine required maintenance activities.

  • General computer/cellphone navigation abilities, navigating on a computer, using a mouse, typing, changing screens, etc.

  • Knowledge of the oilfield industry expectations and working environment.

  • Experience with customer service, client communication, and technical environments. 

  • Experience in water/waste-water purification systems preferred.
