Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following along with other duties that may also be assigned. 

  

  • First point of contact for customer. 

 

  • Works independently or in a team environment on problem solving activities.  Follows systematic problem-solving methodology: 5Why, 8D, and customer required forms etc. 

 

  • Develops, installs and evaluates process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques. 

 

  • Develops or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. 

 

  • Analyzes production and service limitations and standards. 

 

  • Recommends revision of specifications as needed. 

 

  • Formulates or helps formulate policies and procedures specific to quality function. 

 

  • Must be available and willing to work overtime per day or per week as determined necessary to meet business needs. 

 

  • Travel to customers or suppliers. 

 

  • Currently trained and conducts training on department specific concepts, tools and testing equipment. 

 

  • Quantifies quality costs and develops P.O. when applicable. 

 

  • Interfaces with all other engineering components within the company and with customers and suppliers on quality specific issues. 

 

  • Prepare PPAP's, FMEA’s, Control plans, 5P’s or 8 D’s (Responsible during launch, mass production and service.) 

 

  • Performs quality audits 

 

  • Daily reporting: internal activities: Quality Circle meeting, customer & plant issues, and customer driven reports
