Journeyperson Mechanic
Hertz Northern Bus, part of the Student Transportation Family of Companies, takes care of our clients, including: L’Ecole Canadienne Francaise, The Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division and Saskatoon Public School Division.
We are currently seeking a Journeyperson Mechanic to join our growing operation in Saskatoon; 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices will also be considered for this role.

These positions will be responsible for various repairs to S Class vehicles…School Buses!
You should have the ability to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles, follow and track proactive preventative maintenance schedules and be able to perform detailed audits as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Journeyperson License - Heavy Duty or Automotive; 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices also considered
- Red Seal Ticket is considered an asset
- Safety Inspection Certification through SGI desired
- Prior fleet maintenance experience is an asset
- Previous experience on heavy vehicles would be beneficial
- Ability to perform Brake and Safety Inspections and carry out preventative maintenance
- Ensure all vehicle inspections are completed accurately and in a timely fashion
- Perform and attend to service calls as required
- Follow and comply with the company safety policies to maintain a safe workplace
- Execute a variety of additional vehicle repairs, as needed basis
- Possess and display a strong work ethic, a high degree of responsibility, and accountability
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and contributing towards good shop morale is a high priority
