Job Description

Middle School Math/Science Instructional Facilitator 


Qualifications



  1. Hold a valid Arkansas teaching license

  2. Possess a minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience.

  3. Master’s Degree and/or Instructional Facilitator Endorsement preferred.

  4. Demonstrate strong collaboration skills, including:


    • Effective verbal and written communication

    • Strong interpersonal skills

    • Experience working with and supporting adult learners

    • Effective time management

    • Strong planning and organizational skills

    • Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues


  5. Demonstrate expertise in curriculum implementation and evaluation, including:


    • Knowledge of Arkansas content standards

    • Understanding of effective, research-based instructional practices

    • Knowledge of research-based assessment strategies

    • Strong data analysis skills

    • Problem-solving abilities

    • Experience facilitating professional development and professional learning

    • Deep understanding of pedagogy

    • Ability to apply research-based instructional strategies



Responsibilities



  1. Support the implementation of high-quality math instruction aligned with Arkansas standards and district expectations.

  2. Collaborate with teachers to plan, model, and refine instructional practices that improve student achievement in mathematics.

  3. Analyze student data with teachers to inform instruction, identify trends, and develop targeted intervention strategies.

  4. Facilitate professional development sessions and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on best practices in math instruction.

  5. Provide coaching and feedback to teachers through observation, modeling, and collaborative planning.

  6. Be knowledgeable and able to train or facilitate the training of staff on district-adopted curriculum resources.

  7. Support teachers in the use of formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
