The Advanced RF Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing 2G, 4G and 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) performance. The role focuses on delivering high-quality network experience through continuous KPI evaluation, advanced troubleshooting, and network optimization actions aligned with company performance targets.

What will your job look like?

Network Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPI trends for 2G, 4G and 5G RAN.
  • Identify performance degradation patterns and propose corrective actions.
  • Support real-time performance investigations during incidents or customer - impacting events.
  • Troubleshot RF-related issues including interference, handover failures and coverage gaps.

Network Optimization

  • Perform parameter tuning, feature activation, and cluster optimization activities.
  • Conduct end-to-end analysis on coverage, capacity, mobility, and throughput performance.
  • Evaluate the impact of new features and software releases on network KPIs.
  • Perform Layer management analysis to attain perfect load balancing of the network.

Audits & Reporting

  • Execute periodic RAN audits to ensure consistency, parameter hygiene, and feature compliance.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and performance summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations to improve service quality, customer experience, and network efficiency.
  • Perform Frequency and Neighbor planning and Optimization.

All you need is...

  • 4+ years of experience in RF optimization for LTE/5G networks.
  • Strong understanding of 2G/4G/5G RAN architecture, signaling, and features.
  • Hands-on experience with Ericsson’s vendor tools Winfoil and ENM.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret large datasets/KPIs.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, and RAN performance platforms.
  • Must have good knowledge of field and also in OSS/Hardware/Command line.
  • Must have good communication and leadership skills.

 

Preferred (Optional)

  • Experience with automated optimization tools and scripting (Python, SQL).
  • Knowledge of VoNR performance and troubleshooting.
  • Tools knowledge - ActixOne, Kalix and Vismon.
