THE ROLE
- Supporting the delivery of rigorous, standards-aligned instruction within 1:1 blended learning environments by leading small groups, reinforcing core lessons, and providing targeted academic support so all scholars experience joyful, grade-level learning.
- Developing instructional expertise by learning curriculum, standards, and effective teaching practices, and gradually assuming increased responsibility for planning and delivering instruction under the guidance of the lead teacher.
- Helping set ambitious academic goals with scholars, monitoring progress, and providing frequent, actionable feedback that motivates effort and supports growth.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with scholars and families through consistent, positive communication and engagement.
- Contributing to a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports scholars’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Meeting all professional expectations, including preparation for instruction, internalization of lesson plans, data collection, and timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and leaders to ensure instructional consistency, shared accountability, and high expectations for all scholars.
- Actively engaging in coaching cycles, feedback, and professional learning to continuously strengthen instructional skills and readiness for increased teaching responsibility.
- Performing additional duties as assigned in service of school and scholar success.
