( PM Shift Tuesday - Saturday ) Weekend availability needed

  • GENERAL SUMMARY:

    The Medication Technician assists resident with medications under supervision of a licensed nurse. Assists by performing routine resident related care duties and activities of daily living.

    JOB DUTIES:

  • The Medication Aide accepts, accounts and documents all new medications brought into the facility. Safely prepares and aides with resident self-administration of medications. Maintains accurate medication documentation and records.
  • Guides the resident in maintaining their schedule of daily activities, while maintaining the resident�s sense of independence. Individualizes care and assistance provided to each resident depending on level of functioning.
  • Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising. Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • What you will bring

    Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.

  • High school graduate, student or equivalent.
  • Completion of required RCFE training as Medication Technician
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification.
  • At least one year of experience as a caregiver in a facility or in-home caregiving
  • Ability to work in a health care and CCRC environment
  • Knowledge and practice of safe lifting and back care techniques
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must maintain current First Aid
  • Legally Authorized to work in the United States.
