Requirements

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an approved Radiology program.
  • Valid Iowa Radiology license.
  • ARRT or Registry eligible.
  • Competence in components of radiography practice as appropriate.
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Understands HIPAA regulations and privacy of patient and employee information.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-rays, CT scans, MRI, etc.) as ordered by physicians.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operate radiology equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Follow established protocols for radiation safety and patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Assist with the maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Works to maintain efficiency in the Department with particular attention to technique and patient procedures to avoid unnecessary exposure and wastage of films.
  • Assists with Quality Control as necessary or as indicated by the Radiology Director.
  • Works to maintain records.
