What will you do? What are we looking for?
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable Android applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend developers to define app requirements and deliverables.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize app performance.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
- Stay up to date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and best practices.
- Assist in app deployment to Google Play Store and manage release cycles.
- Ensure apps meet performance, quality, and security standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in Android development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and the Android ecosystem.
- Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and Android design guidelines.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.
- Knowledge of offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Ability to write unit and instrumentation tests.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, Room).
- Familiarity with reactive programming using RxJava or Kotlin Flow.
- Knowledge of continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Android.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Prior involvement in publishing apps on Google Play Store.
- Understanding of app security best practices.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
