At SoftwareOne, we empower organizations to unlock the full potential of technology. As an Account Manager for SMB clients, you’ll play a key role in driving growth and delivering exceptional value through Microsoft solutions.

 

The Account Manager – SMB (Microsoft) is responsible for managing and growing relationships with small and medium business clients. You will ensure customer success by aligning Microsoft solutions to their business needs and driving adoption.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the SMB segment through proactive outreach and lead generation activities.
  • Execute outbound prospecting efforts including cold calling, networking, and social selling to build a qualified sales pipeline.
  • Analyze customer needs and pain points to position tailored solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Present and sell SoftwareOne offerings using a value‑based approach, clearly articulating business impact and ROI.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end sales cycle—from initial engagement through negotiation, contract closure, and deal finalization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals, maintain accurate CRM records, and ensure smooth client handover to account management.

What we need to see from you

  • Experience in B2B sales, with a strong track record of success in IT, cloud, or software solution selling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex sales cycles and closing high-value deals within the SMB or mid-market segment.
  • Advanced knowledge of solution selling methodologies and value-based sales strategies.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiating contracts and pricing structures.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and data-driven pipeline management, with a focus on forecasting accuracy and sales performance optimization.
