Job Description

Planful System Support

  • Administer day-to-day Planful activities: user access, workflow support, troubleshooting, and first-level issue resolution.
  • Maintain and update planning templates, input schedules, mappings, and hierarchy configurations.
  • Execute data loads, validations, and reconciliations to keep planning data accurate and available on time.
  • Support the full planning cycle (budget, forecast, long-range plan) monitoring workflows, following up on submissions, and resolving process friction.
  • Document recurring procedures; maintain SOPs and training materials to support team knowledge and system adoption.

Financial Analysis & Advisory Support

  • Prepare and deliver recurring and ad hoc analysis for operational expenses and revenue streams (non-plant) including trends, variances, and drivers.
  • Support budget and forecast cycles by compiling inputs, validating assumptions, and preparing clear commentary and summaries.
  • Build and maintain Excel models for scenario planning, spend visibility, and decision support.
  • Develop standardized reporting packs and executive-ready outputs that clearly communicate risks, opportunities, and key drivers.
  • Support performance review cycles — preparing materials, capturing action items, and tracking follow-through to closure.

Data Quality, Controls & Collaboration

  • Reconcile data across Planful, ERP, and Power BI; flag anomalies and help identify root causes.
  • Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to clarify definitions, improve data discipline, and strengthen planning adoption.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate and improve recurring processes — reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, reporting, or a related finance role.
  • Strong analytical mindset — structured approach to variance explanation and problem-solving.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills; comfortable building and maintaining financial models.
  • Comfortable with data, recurring processes, and tight deadlines — high attention to detail.
  • Clear communicator: able to summarize findings plainly and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Fast learner with a service orientation — you take ownership and follow through.

Compensation: 65K-75K Annual

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Planful or a similar FP&A planning tool (Adaptive, Anaplan, Vena, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA in progress or completed — valued but not required for the right candidate.

YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF...

  • Finds satisfaction in making a messy process clean and repeatable.
  • Asks questions until the data makes sense — not just until it looks right.
  • Takes ownership without being asked and follows through without being chased.
  • Wants to grow into broader FP&A systems or analytics leadership over time.
  • Enjoys working closely with a small, focused team that values quality and accountability.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In your first 90 days:

  • You understand how Planful is structured, own your first recurring admin tasks, and have resolved at least a few user issues independently.
  • You've delivered your first round of analysis on time and with clear commentary.
  • You've built relationships with key Finance and business stakeholders.

By end of year one:

  • Planning cycles run more smoothly with your involvement — templates are cleaner, workflows are tracked, submissions arrive on time.
  • Your analysis is trusted and acted on. Stakeholders come to you proactively.
  • You've identified and delivered at least one meaningful process improvement.
