High School diploma or equivalent. Previous health care experience.
BLS/CPR for health care provider in adult, child, and pediatrics.
Medical terminology college level course, basic anatomy and physiology college level course, computer literacy, general knowledge of various Radiology procedures and preps, aseptic/isolation techniques, and other health care related courses. Senior level in an accredited School for Radiologic Science.
Participate in procedure room and patient prep, may work alongside a licensed technologist during sterile procedures. Understand and follow sterile procedure guidelines pre and post procedure. Professional communication skills are required. Ability to follow oral/written instructions, trouble shoot and think logically in stressful or problem solving situations. Must be able to handle fast paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Thorough knowledge of various Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology procedural set ups. Ability to function as a team member with flexibility while handling numerous tasks simultaneously. Ability to lift and transport patients as required.
