Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-focused Quality Control Inspector to support our manufacturing of industrial, food, and medical grade protective plastic packaging through precision inspection and documentation. This role involves performing in-process and final inspections of converted films, ensuring all products meet dimensional, visual, functional, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is familiar with GMPs, FSSC 22000, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001 standards. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.



 




  • Follow all applicable Dupont and Spectrum Plastics Groups Safety Policies.

  • Perform in-process inspections of plastic films to verify dimensional accuracy (length, width, and thickness)

  • Conduct visual inspections for surface defects such as gels, discoloration, voids, leaks, and inclusions.

  • Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, burst testers, rulers, Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), and Tensile Testing).

  • Ensure that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.

  • Support lot traceability through accurate recording of material and process data.

  • Monitor converting line samples for consistency during shifts.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection workstations.

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and work instructions.

  • Enters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.

  • Notifies the appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if the process falls below acceptable levels.

  •  

  • Assist in the control and documentation of nonconforming material, performing special inspections, material segregation, and scrapping activities as required.

  • Accurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection.

  • Ability to read and write in English.

  • Capable of carrying up to 40 lbs.

  • Able to stand 6-8 hours daily (Ideally 6-12 hours/day).

  • Other duties as assigned.
