Umpqua Community College is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Program Development Consultant to provide temporary, professional, non-instructional consulting services supporting the planning, development, and institutional readiness required to establish a new Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

This position is classified as a temporary, exempt consulting role and does not constitute a permanent faculty appointment, instructional assignment, or bargaining-unit position.  The Consultant functions in an advisory and project-lead capacity, comparable in expertise to a Sonography Program Director, but without ongoing operational, supervisory, or instructional responsibility once the program is launched.

The Consultant works under the general direction of the Dean of Health Professions (or designee) and collaborates with college leadership, faculty, facilities, finance, enrollment, and external partners to ensure program development aligns with CAAHEP/JRC-DMS accreditation standards, state regulatory expectations, and UCC policies.
