Starting Wage for this exempt position: $153,878.40-$211,598.40 

Position Summary

The Clinical Pharmacy Program Supervisor is responsible for the management of the clinical and distributive personnel and their related operations. Responsibilities in cooperation with the pharmacy manager include development and monitoring of clinical and distributive procedures and job descriptions, quality assurance, scheduling maintenance and coordinating orientation, and training of new personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible, under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, for the management of Pharmacists, including, but not limited to: Hire and evaluate staff providing clear expectations, effective coaching, counseling, mentoring, recognition, and staff development to provide exceptional customer service to all hospital departments and external customers.
  • Responsible for training of Pharmacists, both the orientation of new employees and ongoing staff development to ensure safe patient care.
  • Manages Own Professional Practice: Problem Solving/Critical Thinking

Position Qualifications

Experience

  • 3 years of progressively more responsible experience as a practicing inpatient pharmacist is required.

Education

  • A doctorate in Pharmacy is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in pharmacy in lieu of a Doctorate for those eligible to be RPh with a bachelor's by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.

Certification/Licensure

  • RPh: Registered Pharmacist by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy is required.
  • BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare workers issued by the American Heart Association is required within 90 days of start.
