HVAC Install Assistant

Position Summary

The HVAC Install Assistant supports lead installers in the installation of residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in the HVAC industry while gaining hands-on experience in system installation, tools, and job site safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork
• Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials to job sites
• Help prepare job sites, including setting up tools and maintaining cleanliness
• Follow directions from lead installer to complete installations efficiently
• Drill, cut, and assemble materials as needed
• Assist with basic electrical and mechanical connections under supervision
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
• Ensure all work complies with company standards and safety regulations
• Provide courteous and professional interaction with customers when on-site

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior construction or HVAC experience a plus, but not required
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds regularly
• Work in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions

Work Schedule

• Full-time, typically Monday–Friday
• Overtime may be required during peak seasons
