Work Experience Description:

Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.

Position Scope

  • Provides cultural information through demonstrations and lectures, and teaches songs, dances, crafts, games and cultural phrases to guests.
  • Learns how to create, maintain and/or do repairs of moderate difficulty on cultural artifacts, buildings, and props using a variety of equipment and materials.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Good health and have a voice that can endure up to four hours of speaking in any given time frame
  • Capable of moving freely among the guests and capable of full range body movement.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Know the basics of playing the ukulele.
  • Look Polynesian.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable about the culture being represented.
  • Able to speak the language of the culture being represented.

Base Rate Per Hour
$16.00

$14.00 - $16.00
