Job Summary:

Responsible for mixing, matching and preparing colors according to production specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Mix and prepare colors, dyes, or coating based on formulas and work orders
Match colors to customer or production specifications using samples or color standards
Measure and weigh materials accurately using scales and mixing equipment
Maintain consistency of color batches and make adjustments as needed
Operate and clean mixing equipment, containers and work areas
Conduct quality checks to ensure color accuracy and product standards are met
Assist with inventory control of colorants and raw material
Keep records of formulas, batches and production data allow all safety procedures, including proper handing of chemicals and PPE usage

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or GED required
Ability to effectively communicate with other employees
Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instruction
Must be able to pay close attention to detail and ability to distinguish colors accurately

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 25Ibs individually; up to 50Ibs with assistance
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time through out the day
Must be able to assist operators as necessary
must be able to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of this job
