What You'll Do
- Sub-assemble wooden skids and frames for final assembly
- Nail and/or staple wood products, laminates, and/or coverings for cases
- Move wooden material from storage areas and to production lines using either gas or electric-powered forklifts or hand-pulled material handling equipment
- Unload incoming trucks of all crate-making lumber and supplies
- Cut wood for and construct crates for UPS/parts order shipments
- Other duties as assigned
- Position is on 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 2PM - 10PM), but training on 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 6AM - 2PM) will be required for a period of time
What You'll Bring
- High School Diploma
- Must be forklift certified for this position (will provide on the job)
- Ability to be cross trained in other areas
- Work closely with the Shipping Department for daily crate-making needs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use hand-held vibrating and pneumatic tools (e.g.: air nail gun)
- Solo lift up to 49 pounds regularly
- Team lift 50-100 pounds frequently
- Team lift more than 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while performing tasks
