Automotive Service Technology CTE Teacher (Part-Time / Half-Day)

Job Summary:

The Automotive Service Technology CTE Teacher provides classroom and hands-on instruction in automotive repair and maintenance. This part-time, half-day position prepares students for entry-level careers and industry certification through practical, skills-based learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach automotive systems including engine repair, brakes, electrical, and diagnostics


• Provide hands-on instruction using shop tools and equipment


• Maintain a safe and organized lab environment


• Assess student progress through practical and written evaluations


• Prepare students for industry certifications (e.g., ASE)


• Follow state CTE standards and school policies

Qualifications:

• Relevant automotive industry experience required (4 years minimum)


• Teaching license or ability to obtain CTE certification


• ASE certification preferred


• Strong communication and classroom management skills
