Business Overview: 

This position is in Sales and Business Enablement (SABE): Reporting Insights & Operations (RIO), is an Enterprise Utility that provides reporting & insights services to 4 revenue generating business units across the Enterprise. The team plays a pivotal role, in creating & delivering relevant and insightful reporting that enables the business teams to understand the drivers of the performance (of sales colleagues, markets, business segments, benefits and membership rewards program) and effectively leverage data to plan & support business growth strategies. SABE RIO vision is to be “Best in class CoE, enabling business performance through accelerated self-serve Reporting and Actionable Insights, delivered efficiently”. In summary, the SABE organization mirrors career opportunities which may individually belong to different Business Units within American Express.

Job Responsibilities: 

The role provided will be Reporting & Data Insights. Key role requirement and skills are outlined below:

Reporting and Data Insights – Reporting & Insights products, Influence Data & Platform Strategy, Self Service Dash boards. Key Skills: Hive, SQL, Python, Tableau and Power BI.

Generally, the role will entail the following responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely & accurate delivery of reports and insights for sales teams by defining appropriate constructs & determining suitable approaches to build, publish and track performance.
  • Deliver performance reporting & analytical data support to business units and individual scorecards, reviews & yearly processes (Target setting, Portfolio Alignment, Benefits Refresh)
  • Provide forward looking trends, predictions, triggers that enhance sales force productivity.  
  • Engage with key stakeholders to drive initiatives to enhance sales experience.
  • Automate and standardize reporting processes
  • Ensure the processes that are crafted and implemented have strong value proposition for the business and long-lasting usefulness.
  • Build innovative solutions and resolve complex business problems, using leading technologies like, Big Data, Java, Hive, Python, SQL, Salesforce, Tableau, etc.
  • Innovate with a focus on developing newer and better approaches using big data & machine learning.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills Required: 

  • The candidate should be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Science and Information Technology Engineering or other related technological field.
  • Ability to drive project deliverables to achieve business results.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Agility to learn and work independently with complex and unstructured initiatives.
  • Analytical thinking with Data handling, reporting and data research/data mining skills.
  • Ability to integrate globally with Cross-Functional Business Partners.
  • Knowledge of MS Office – Power Point, Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking, Six Sigma, LEAP and / or LEAN continuous process improvement techniques will be an added advantage.
