Service Area: Community Health and Social Care - Twilight and Nights Team (Community Nursing)

    

Salary Band: Band 3

   

Salary Range: £30,434 - £35,627 per annum

   

Working Arrangements: 10 hours per week

 



About the Role:

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Twilight and Nights Team within the Community Nursing Service. Working hours between 18.30 and 22.30 or as late as 00.30 hrs providing care on the twilight and night social care team a part time contract for 10hrs per week.  

The post holder will be required to carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of the District nurse, with minimal supervision. 

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will ensure high quality individualised care is delivered to service users living in their own homes, maintaining privacy and dignity. The post holder will demonstrate skills to new or less experienced members of staff and participate in community-based induction and orientation programmes.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all mandatory and statutory training is current and will be expected to contribute to the principles of our CARE values.

This role comes with a competitive salary, progressive annual leave and entitlement to a pension scheme. We will also consider previous service in a substantive post in the NHS or Local Authority towards entitlement to annual leave, maternity leave and sick pay.   

 

Special Duty: Pay enhancements of 40% and 80% are payable for work carried out in unsocial hours in line with policy.  

 

Annual Bonus: Staff who are in post on 31 January will receive a lump sum payment every February.
