The Accounting Manager is results-driven and detail-oriented with extensive experience in day-to-day accounting responsibilities and team leadership. Proven ability to streamline accounting processes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and enhance operational efficiency. The Accounting Manager is skilled in managing daily accounting activities and adept at mentoring and motivating accounting teams to achieve performance goals while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. Essential Functions: The Accounting Manager is responsible the day-to-day operations of the accounting department which includes all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, cash application and fixed assets. Ideal candidate will have manufacturing accounting experience.
Responsibilities/Skills/Abilities:
? Utilizes independent judgment to create efficient effective processes for day-to-day activities that impact the financial statements and the company cash flow
? Has authority to make decisions on all processes related to the day-to-day activities of the accounting department
? Oversee and manage the accounting team, ensuring they are effectively completing daily tasks such as invoicing, cash application, credit card reconciliations, payables invoices, landed cost entries.
? Monitors the work of the accounting staff to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies and standards
? Ensures strong internal controls are in place as it relates to the day-to-day accounting activities to safeguard the company's assets and financial data
? Handles escalated issues with vendors and customers such as payment discrepancies and outstanding balances
? Provide guidance, support, and training for accounting team members to ensure they understand accounting procedures and best practices.
? Organize workloads and staffing schedules to ensure that the department runs smoothly, and deadlines are met.
? Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operations across the company

Work Experience Requirements:
? 5+ in accounts receivable or accounting department
? 2 ? 4 years of experience in a supervisory role.
? Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation is required.
? Experience with general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable management, and payroll processing is essential.
? Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is highly preferred.
? Prior experience in leading teams, improving processes, and implementing financial controls is a plus.
Education/Knowledge Requirements:
? Required high School diploma or equivalent
Reports To: Vice President of Finance
Supervisory responsibilities:
Overseas and directs the daily activities of the accounting team, including staff accountants, accounts payable/receivable specialists, and payroll administrators. Responsibilities include hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating team members to ensure performance standards and deadlines are met. This role provides guidance and support, assigns tasks, monitors workloads, and conducts performance reviews. Additionally, the Accounting Manager is responsible for fostering a collaborative work environment, addressing employee concerns, and promoting professional development to build a high-performing team.

Work environment/Hours:
? The work environment: temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
? Full-time Office hours are typically 8:30-5:00pm, Monday-Friday with occasional overtime.
