    The Shelton Public Schools has a vacancy for a LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE PARAEDUCATOR @ ELIZABETH SHELTON SCHOOL 

    Paraeducators provide instructional support to students at the direction of certified staff. In this role, paraeducators assist in the implementation of individualized program(s) that the teacher has prepared for student(s) and are responsible for assisting in the overall supervision of students to provide for their safety and well being in a smoothly functioning class environment.     Salary:  $17.00/HOUR

    Start Date:  2/2/2026

    To be eligible for this position, one of the following requirements must be satisfied:

    • An Associates Degree or minimum of  60 college credits; or
    • A passing score on the Parapro exam as established by the State of Connecticut
