Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
 

The Talent Acquisition Manager serves as a strategic and operational leader within Belmont University’s Office of Human Resources, Title IX and Institutional Compliance, responsible for partnering with the Chief Human Resources Officer with the design, management, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive, centralized talent acquisition function. This role manages the full lifecycle recruitment process of staff and partners on faculty, ensuring hiring practices align with Belmont’s Christ-centered mission, institutional strategy, and federal and state law.

The Talent Acquisition Manager partners closely with campus leaders, HR Partners, and senior leadership to build strong candidate pipelines; identify recruitment strategy; and deliver a high-quality, consistent recruitment experience. This position also provides functional leadership for recruitment systems, data, and process optimization, with highly preferred experience using Oracle-based HR and applicant tracking systems.

Talent Acquisition Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with the Chief Human Resources Officer to develop and execute the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Belmont’s comprehensive talent acquisition function.
  • Lead the evolution and continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools, and practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to campus leaders on recruitment strategy and partnering on workforce planning.
  • Participate in change management initiatives impacting recruitment practices.

Recruitment Operations & Process Management

  • Oversee all aspects of the centralized recruitment lifecycle.
  • Ensure consistent, and compliant hiring practices.
  • Partner on the development of recruitment policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Maintain recruitment policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Partner with HR colleagues to ensure seamless transitions from recruitment into onboarding.

Systems, Data & Technology

  • Serve as the primary operational lead for talent acquisition within Oracle HCM, supporting requisition processing, candidate tracking, system optimization, and user support.
  • Leverage data and analytics to assess recruitment effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations and People Analytics teams to ensure data integrity and system optimization.

Employer Branding & Talent Pipelines

  • Strengthening Belmont’s employer brand and positioning as an employer of choice.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies and candidate pipelines.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to align recruitment messaging.
  • Represent Belmont at recruitment events and professional networks.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and campus leaders.
  • Coach leaders on comprehensive recruitment and interview practices.
  • Assist in training and developing hiring managers and search committees on university hiring practices.
  • Collaborate with HR partners across the employee lifecycle.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Five to seven years of progressive talent acquisition or recruitment experience.
    • Strong knowledge of employment practices and compliance standards.
    • Proven ability to partner effectively across a complex organization.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Highly preferred - demonstrated experience with Oracle HCM or Oracle-based applicant tracking systems.
    • Experience in higher education or mission-driven organizations.
    • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent).
    • Experience leading recruitment transformation or change initiatives.

      
    Required EducationBachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
      
    Required ExperienceFive to seven years of progressive talent acquisition or recruitment experience required.
