Core Responsibilities
Apply first-principles reasoning (OS theory, computational complexity, resource utilization) to break down problems into their fundamental components before jumping to solutions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electronics, and mechatronics teams to develop new technologies.
Assist in root-cause investigations by capturing data, running simple tests, or reviewing failure modes.
Takes initiative by proactively starting tasks, seeking information/feedback, moving work forward and asking thoughtful questions.
Communicate progress, blockers and findings clearly to the engineering team.

Do you have what it takes?
Enrolled in a computer engineering, computer science, or related engineering program.
Experience with software/firmware engineering tools including revision control, IDEs, etc.
Skills in programming with the C and Python languages.
Programming embedded systems using JTAG or similar devices.
Experience with hardware debugging tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic or bus analyzer, etc.
Knowledge of hardware communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
Enthusiasm for early-stage ideation, concept development through designing for mass production and life cycle support.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with global design hubs in Denmark, London, and Singapore.
A builder with passion for creatively using technology as a vehicle to deliver truly incredible play experiences to children around the world!
Hybrid working model
This position will be based at 1001 Boylston St. in Boston, MA. Our workplace enables our LEGO® colleagues to be and do their best at work. This 3 day in the office hybrid model will exemplify our People Promise by embracing the different life situations of our colleagues.
The hourly wage for the position has a range of $0.00 - 41.70 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of any benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
